Welcome to ARISE

Anti-Recidivist Introduction to Society and Ethics

Our Mission:

Our Anti-Recidivist Introduction to Society and Ethics (ARISE) 501c3 strives to reestablish communication between children and their incarcerated / recently released parents.

Providing age-appropriate educational gifts for the kids and life skill enhancement, anti-recidivism lessons for inmates transitioning back into society

ARISE will provide the children and their guardians the tools necessary to stay in touch by mail or electronic means. This includes pens, paper, stamps & a small stipend to the guardian ($25) is to help cover initial phone calls between the parent and child.

No matter how the communications continue, whether by mail, email, visitation, or phone calls, a strong Parent-Child bond can last a lifetime.

Welcome to Phase One of our programming…

For the Child and the Guardian:

A useful and beautiful gift for the child’s guardian is provided upon acceptance into the program. The children will receive a bountiful, educational and age-appropriate gift presented as if from the parent.

If the program was not adjudicated and paid for through court sentencing, and you have knowledge of an inmate with a child that they have not seen for three months or more, the inmate or the family can request participation in our program. Upon personal payment, and facility agreement, we will welcome the family to our program. We recommend you contact the Chaplain of the institution and have the Chaplain contact us for a recommendation to the program, via their educational department.

Email us the particulars. We will contact the institution (or half-way home they have been released to), to see if they will accept our program.

Our written and self-contained embedded videos (no WiFi needed) lessons can be sent via an SD card or flash drive. The facility would have to agree to allow the student to use their student computers to access the lessons.

Three essays will be required. The first is to acknowledge and accept responsibility for their plight, the second is to understand the full extent of their incarceration for both them and their loved ones after reviewing the videos, and the third is to prep for release. In said preparation, the focus is on leaving behind crime and improving as a parent.

Essays are required in exchange for the child and guardian gifting. Once the story is received by the ARISE administration and reviewed, the child will receive a second gift!

Phase Two: ARISE AGAIN:

Once enrolled and Phase One is completed, a Releasee Resource Guide will be provided for contact to aid in finding housing, felon-friendly jobs, substance abuse therapist, and most importantly: PARENTAL COACHING!

Most of the recommendations are free to the public, but you may have to arrange payment directly if that institution requires it. Please consider the use of private insurance, or social programs such as Obamacare (which we will supply you with instructions on how to apply if you are not a member yet).

You may wish to contact a life coach as well, to help cope with your reentry into society with mental health needs. Not just for you, but for the guardian and the children who had to live without your presence for a time. Always ask your in-house counsel for their recommendations as well. Many programs are tax-based, and you will not have to pay.

Please utilize the packet to help reestablish yourself as a normalized and successful member of society.
